Magical Mosaic Mandalas
Level: Beginner/Intermediate

Mandala art is a form of art that features geometric patterns and symbols to create a circular, symmetrical design. In this 1.5 day workshop you will design and create a beautiful and completely unique 10” x 10” mosaic mandala for interior or exterior display. You will learn about the types of glass applicable to mosaic arts and how to use mosaic tools to cut and shape the colorful, luminescent glass into tesserae (the pieces that make a mosaic). Learn about glass mosaic design, double indirect method, direct method, grouting techniques, adhesives, substrates, terminology, and techniques for finishing mosaic projects. 

All tools and materials are provided in class. No previous mosaic experience necessary. However, the more mosaic experience you have the more detail you will be able to incorporate into your design.
